For many years, Devotees in North Texas had wished for a neighborhood temple (in Plano) to worship Shree Jagannatha Parivaar. The installation of the dieties thereby completed Shree Raghunath Temple as “Char Dham”.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

Devotees can experience the greatest cultural extravaganza displaying vibrant celebration.
  • Tallest Chariot – constructed (for our dieties) in the entire US.
  • Mini Chariot – is also constructed [specially for our community kids] to enjoy our culture.
  • Pahandi – Devotees can participate in the divine procession.
  • Besa/Avatars – Devotees can witness divine beauty of the Lord Jagannath Parivaar
  • Heavenly Mahaprasad – served in the temple backhall. [prepared by volunteer chefs]
  • Chappan Bhoga – Various delicacies are offered with utter devotion [by our devotees][Signup sheet is circulated in whatsapp groups]
With so many unique features to cater for, the devotion of devotees and volunteers has been increasing considerably year over year. Thus leading towards a greater collaboration.

RATHA YATRA [HISTORY]

2020

  • MAR 9-11:  Prana Pratistha of the new dieties in the auspicious presence of our own Shri Gajapati Maharaj.
    OCT 24th:      Installation of Goddess Mahalakshmi in the temple.

2019

  • MAY 7th:         Installation of the “Lord Jagannatha Parivaar” Deities.
  • JULY 4th:       Rathayatra [Year 1] commenced.
  • OCT 4th:         New Deities were procured [from Puri, Odisha]
  • NOV 15th:       Bhumi Pujan Ceremony.
